Rebecca Arguello

About the Artist

Born in Santa Barbara Ca in 1977. Attended the University of California Santa Barbara as well as Hirudaya Holistic School in San Luis Obispo, Ca. After owning a business in holistic care and working as an Environmental Monitor, took on painting as her primary focus since 2014. Rebecca has taken workshops and classes from well known artists and has developed a style of painting she calls expressive and abstractive but grounded in realism. The command of light in her works are prevalent and deftly rendered. "It is an immense amount of work and passion. I adore the process, the fight and insight learned with every piece."

Artist Statement

My undergraduate work and career in the environmental field has inspired me to protect our lands and waters from the negative influences of human activity. My current body of work is driven by my desire to continue to have a positive impact on the environment. I use my paintings to help bring awareness to the importance of preserving and protecting our surroundings. A portion of the proceeds from each painting sold is donated to an environmental mission driven organization.
